CNC Tandem Press Brake Enables Long-Profile Fabrication in Gujarat, India

A heavy equipment manufacturer in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, invested in a CNC Tandem Press Brake to support export-oriented production of construction machinery components.

The company produces long steel frames and chassis parts for excavators and loaders sold in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Their traditional bending equipment could not meet the length and precision requirements of new product designs.

The manufacturer installed a two-unit CNC tandem press brake with 8-axis CNC control, automatic crowning, and a high-precision backgauge system.

The new system allowed continuous bending of 12-meter steel plates with consistent angle accuracy. Setup time was reduced by 35%, and bending speed increased by 40%.

“The CNC tandem press brake gave us the ability to meet international quality standards," said the production supervisor. “It helped us secure long-term export contracts."

Within four months, the company expanded its export customer base in the UAE and Kenya. Production output rose by 42%, while labor costs declined due to reduced manual handling.

The system was also equipped with remote diagnostics, enabling faster technical support and preventive maintenance.
